IBM and Sun have long been among the strongest proponents of Java in the industry. DB2 Universal Database is also accessible from both Java applets and applications. An example of this implementation is the DB2 Control Center.

Use the Control Center to manage systems, DB2 Universal Database instances, DB2 for OS/390 subsystems, databases, and database objects, such as tables and views. In the Control Center, you can display all of your systems, databases, and database objects and perform administration tasks on them.

This demonstration shows you some of the new features of the DB2 Universal Database V6 Control Center. This Lotus screencam was recorded on a 1024x768 screen and is meant to be played back on a Windows 95/98/NT system. If you run on a smaller screen, you may not see all of the details.
